Saturday evening began with a steady rain and an uneven performance by the Redskins’ first-teamers.  It ended with excitement in the team’s core of reserves and roster hopefuls.

The Redskins filled out their coaching staff today by hiring veteran coach Chip Garber to the defensive quality control position.

Washington limited Donovan McNabb and the Eagles to just three points in its 10-3 victory on Sunday.
